Re: 84 z28 Project

I plan on rebuilding the car from the frame up so to start out I took everything off, the only thing left on it is the rear end, hatch and the windshield. I'm going to take the rear end and hatch off this week but haven't decided about the windshield. The first thing I'm doing is sanding and repainting the engine bay. I started out sanding by hand but taking it down to the bare metal was taking too long so now I have a booth set up to sandblast and I'm just waiting until I get a fresh air system set up to finish.

Here's a pictures of the booth

Does anyone know how to make it so that the pictures appear big in the thread so that you don't have to open it in a different window?

Re: 84 z28 Project

I think if you go onto the program that you open your pictures with and size the to what you want, save it under a different name so as to not over wright the origonal and just download on here

Re: 84 z28 Project

Looks like you have a pretty nice starting point. The car looks to be in good condition.
Was there a plate blocking off the heater and fan openings on the firewall?

I think the only way to get full size images is to link to them. They would need to be hosted somewhere like Photobucket.

Re: 84 z28 Project

Looks like a fun project, and it's nice to see another 84 being saved

I think the last poster is correct about the images, you'll need to link to them from another server, to make them appear full size.

Re: 84 z28 Project

I would take out your windshield. I found some rust lurking in there when I took my windshield out of my 83 Z to reskin the rusted t-tops area. I am going to hook it up with some eastwood stuff and slap it back together. Good luck on your project.

Re: 84 z28 Project

Alright I think I've got it, I made a photobucket account to keep all of my pictures on. The car is in pretty good condition but when I pulled the carpet out I found that the floorpans were rusted pretty bad so I'm gonna need to repair them, and there was a heater block off plate that was rivetted in

heres a picture of the floorpans..
