What kind of plastic was used? 91 Camaro
I'm going to repair my ground effects with a plastic welder but I do not know what kind of plastic it is.

3M and others sell a two part epoxy for repairing cracks in flexible bumpers. It'll work just fine on broken gfx. Just keep in mind it's not really load bearing. It's a good idea to use fiberglass cloth on the back side of the repair to keep it from breaking again. This is also the same stuff the GM shop manual recommends.

My original plan was to fiberglass the whole thing. Drill lots of holes through it to create resin rivets then stretch fleece over it and soak it good with resin. Then I would just have to build up and uneven areas.
Then I watched a few plastic welding videos and it seems to be pretty simple. Same concept less work.
They make many different kind of plastic welding rods but if it doesn't bond well it's worthless.
I need to know the exact type of plastic the car was made with if I use the plastic welding technique.
