86 RS Accident pics...How bad do you think?
I got into an accident some time back and havent been able to fix my '86. Instead of being smart and getting new tires, i took a drive late night/early morning and the Camaro had an argument with the guardrail. At the same time, my face had an argument with the steering wheel.
Yeah, both of us lost
A close relative of mine is recommending it be take to a body shop and put on a frame machine to be pulled out before the twisted wreckage is cut off and the new piece(s) welded on.
I'm not so sure about how much the frame machine can do for it, as of now
its sitting. I got lucky enough on the night inquestion to be able to reverse (peeling it off of the guardrail, basically) and drive it to a gas station, thou
it was a bear to steer. AFAIK, the fender (now removed as you can see) was what made it nearly impossible to steer.
This wasn't your average head-on. As far as i could tell, i was only able to slow it down to like 30mph before i hit.
Besides cleaning the blood out of the interior , can anyone tell me what i'm in for as far as prices for the replacement parts of the frame?
Thanks.

My car, apparently before the previous owner dumped a bunch of money into it was smashed half way up the pass. front wheel well... Some things, like t-tops, don't fit right.. If you could find a donor car, and cut it up, thats your best bet.. That rad cradle just looks way too bent..

A frame rack could help tell allot, maybe just the core support and bumper horn the wheel house is up too.

I'm not an expert...but I'm sure that can be fixed. You might have to get a peice off of another car and weld it or something but with the right money and right work it can be fixed. My fiances lil brother got drunk one night stole my 1994 Ford Thunderbird....we tried to stop him but it was too late and I found out he had flipped it on its side on a mountain (we lived in Va) Omg I could have killed him and I still can not stand him. But anyways the nose got smashed, the entire drivers side was dented, all glass was broken out pretty much I mean it looked horrible.....I felt like puking lol.
I didn't try to save the car. I mean it "could" have been fixed I was just broke at the time. Now I have my 88 Camaro and I can't wait to get started on it.
But yea my car was way way worse then that.....if it can be fixed...I'm sure yours can.

Break out the welder. Your gonna need to find a donor car and your gonna be doing alot of chopping and welding to even out that front end and make it straight again
