Bad Bondo job?

Bad Bondo job?
i was wandering if anyone has ever seen this before and if so how to repair it. its on a camaro i just acquired. The spot is located on the rh QP right above the tire. Any suggestions are helpful.

Take it down to bare metal to see what's under there. It's not looking pretty

I've seen it before, looked exactly like that. There was about 1/4th inch of bondo under the surface filling a large dent.

all of the above , bondo/body filler is a good tool . but , should be used only for minor dings . surface prep. is a big thing , putting on too thick is a big thing , too much hardner is a big thing . clean it all off , smooth out bare metal is best you can . i assume you are going to repair yourself . ask some friends for advice . do some research on body repair , don't get in a hurry . most work can be done with common hand tools . just take your time and do it right . there is never enough time , but always time enough to do it over . good luck .
