Bumper Cover question
Just a question... Were the bumper covers on our camaros (mines a 92) made of fiberglass? I always assumed they were metal, and you had the aftermarked fiberglass ones.
Well i was just recently got in a crash, and now that the paints all tore up (the damn thing is ****ing tough....no body deformation ) I can see it's fiberglass.
My conclusions are thus:
a) They did come stock with fiberglass
b) The previous owner was in a crash that required replacing the bumper cover, and he got a fiberglass one. This would also be supported by the crappy Macco respray it's currently sporting.
So what's the word. Did they come stock with fiberglass?

Re: Bumper Cover question
They are actually plastic - not fiberglass. Fiberglass shatters in a crash - there's no give, it's stiff. These are plastic, they bend. And they all were stock that way.

Re: Bumper Cover question
Alright, thanks! I was wondering that because I thought fiberglass would disintegrate in a crash, but i just chalked it up to me not knowing much about these things. Guess I still don't lol.
