Body parts swap question
I have an '82 berlinetta coupe camaro
I know as well as all that the front nose cone (or front bumper), along with the rest of the car, looks quite ugly compared to the z28's w/ ground effects and such.
since i already have the z28 hardware installed (ie 5.0 305 motor and tr400 trans from an '83 z28) i figured i sould seek out and change to body to look like a z28 too.
My question is will i have trouble mounting the z28 style front bumper and corresponding ground effects kit on my coupe? will modification be required?
anyone with knowledge or experience w/ this sort of job is needed!

Re: Body parts swap question
I've never even owned a Berlinetta, or seen one in person for that matter, but I'm pretty sure the front bumper would mount in the same spots, but the ground effects are a different story, there's some funky rod mounting for them, that's welded to the frame I believe.

You will be able to mount the front bumper, but you will have to find a way to weld on the mounting brackets for the side skirts. Otherwise, everything can be swapped over.

thanks for the replys
on another note, are the front bumpers all one piece or do they have multiple sections? (on the z28)

Re: Body parts swap question
i found the front bumper used for around $150 online, but the front ground fx for it is like $300 some, i hope it still looks good without it
