Martin Senour Paints/First Paint Job !!!!
First paint Job.
GM Torch Red from napa.
Im VERY SATISFIED, a few small runs. They will come out after buffing.
Final Coat of clear

AWESOME!
If your run is in the clear...you can let the clear set up for a couple days, then spread a very thin even coat of bondo over the clear around the run...build up the bondo around the run; then you can use some wetsanding (say 800 to start) and work the run down. The bondo keeps you from working down the surrounding and somewhat thin clear. REMEMBER that the run is actually cigar.shaped in cross section...it sort of bubbles off the smooth clear. Because of this, there is a very tiny area just off the run where its thinner than anywhere else. It has something to do with the surface tension. Using the bondo allows you to keep everything level
Then use 3M Perfect It buffing compound on a rotary buffer with a clean wool pad, followed by Menzerna polishing and swirlmark compounds on foam pads
Its good to see someone use actual paint and show it CAN be done at home

Nice. i will be doing mine to. Have to make sure its nice weather out for 3 days and fix the rust spots before i do it. but very well done. Hope mine comes out good. i will be doing either a midnight blue or something dark. haven't decided but red very nice.

I had a guy look at it who's been painting for years. He going to show me how to buff. He looked and said the small runs that I have can be buffed out easily.
I also did this with a $25 walmart gravity gun. Suprised me it came out so good.

Martin Senour paint? Never again
I've painted a lot of motorcycles in my day, pretty comfortable with HVLP. Bought Crossfire for my 69 Chev, my mistake? Bought gold pearl for mid coat. Orange base laid down nicely, pearl additive I find out was old and outdated. Caused blotching and the clear refused to lay down on it. Orange peel? NO, more like the fat ladies rear end. Bottom line, the paint rep looked at it, NAPA looked at it, they assume no responsibility for the paint. I paid a shop to remove all the paint and redo it with quality paint. I will discourage anyone from using this paint, MOSTLY due to lack of responsibility from both NAPA and MS, even tho I got an expired can. No problem, live, learn, retaliate.
