Re: gfx swap
The sides, doors and rears should bolt up to the same holes for your 84's. The nose is differnt for 85+. I'm not sure if the front chin spoiler will bolt onto the 84 bose or not. Even if it did...I'm sure it'd look a little weird. Actually, now that I think about it, the tabs for the 82-84 are horizontal and the 85+ are vertical (it's either that way or vice-versa). I rember when I tried to bolt the spoiler from an 88 onto my 82 the way it mounted was differnt.

Re: gfx swap
I did it to my 83. I think the actual bumper is wider on an 82-84 and it would need to be grinded to the right size.
What I did was change the bumper as well as the nose, I have a video of what I did to her, check it out!

Re: gfx swap
I'm putting 92' aero gfx on my 85'. The way the side skirts mount is different. In 85' the gfx was held by two plastic clips (to the 1/4) and bolted to the fender. The 92' gfx were bolted to the car by a metal strip with two suds. I got to the ones on the 1/4 by removing the interior peice by the rear seat and going through the access hole. Not sure about the front because the car I got them from had no fenders. As for the chin spoiler I don't think it'll will fit either. Also I think the rear bumper cover is different (just at the bottom where the gfx molding is)
