Harwood Direct Bolt on Firebird 3" cowl Fiberglass hood
So im looking at buying a new hood once i finish my engine swap due to my taller intake, the stock hood will no longer fit. And since i dont want to chop my stock hood apart, Im looking at buying the 3" Cowl Direct-Bolt on Fiberglass by HarWood. They are on the JEGS website selling for 499.99. Was wondering if anyone has installed one of these on their FireBird/Trans Am's and what kind of problems they have run into. If anyone has any pics of theirs installed i would love to see them.

I have one on my Camaro, no real problems fitting it. Just make sure you trim the edge to match how the factory one was. They ship the hoods with an extra large edge for protection. They're a little wavy but nothing a little body work can't take care of if you want it perfect looking.

I have a 5 in pin on fiberglass cowl hood from Hawks Third Gen on my 88 Trans AM and it looks great in my opinion. I could send you a pic so you could see what a 5 in cowl would look like.
