glass etching
This is just an idea I'm working on but i want to etch my windshield with the word Camaro, almost like the white letters you can buy but it wont stick out from 1/4mi down the road. just a fine detail. now for the questions.....has enyone here ever done glass etching on auto glass. I know this would be perminent but would etched glass wear at all? would it be legal? any on topic comments good or bad will be appreciated!

Re: glass etching
I've only seen it on motorcycle wind screens. I think it looks good as long as it is a tasteful design to begin with. As for legality, I never worried about that much so I can't help you there.

Re: glass etching
i honestly dont know why someone did it at first but i like the look of it. I understand that its not practicle or everyones thing but it just looks good to me. I think it would look especially good if it were just a faint etching instead of the normal white block letters. If I do decide to do it I will make sure it is tasteful and well done.
