How bad is this to fix? (Auto Body Guys I Need Help)
I dont know the history on the car but i know that she had been hit in the door before. Everything lines up pretty good but the front fender and the door gap on the passenger gap is off. The top side of the door is in about an 1/8 inch. The bottom is not by much. The place the door hinges mounts there is a slight bit of wrinkle but nothing major. So im just wanting to get an idea from the auto body guys on here about how hard this will be to fix. I am in auto body classes and i have a grame rack and all to fix it. And im going to talk abuot it with the instructer to see what he thinks. Anyone else fixed this before? Thanks -Matt

First you need to look the rest of the car over. Does the door fit good to the 1/4 panel and the rocker panel? If you pull the top front of the door out the bottom rear is going to go in some. Does the bottom front of the door also need to come out? Is it even a problem with the door ... or is it the fender? Has the fender been replaced? Is it an OEM part or aftermarket? How does the fender to hood gap look? Is it even and equal on both sides? What about the windshield. If you lift up the outer part of the windshield moulding and look under it is it covering more of the pillar on the right side?
You and your instructor need to look your car over pretty good. One thing always leads to another and there are a lot of things that are likely to change if you start pulling on the A-pillar.

umm the top is more in then the bottom. The fender hood gap is about an 1/8 - 1/4 inch but the driver is touching. Im not sure about the windshield molding. Tho. I think im gonna show him tommorrow. -Matt

Mine looks exactly the same. When I pulled the rocker molding on that side off I found the reason. Looks like it was on a lift, or jacked up on that side and it smashed where the lower fender bolt attached to the pinch weld area. I still have to pull the fender and straighten out that area, but I think the fender is bowed out in the middle. May be a place to look

yea same thing happened to my rs, Some one jacked it up on the fender and it threw my gap there out of wack, just like yours Matt. I found it out whenever I took off lower Gfx. All I did was straighten up the fender well and leave it alone. I figured it was more trouble then it was worth.
