Engine: 305tbi to 350 carb'd
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: Stock
power windows
i have power windows and i try and get them down but they only go down so far and they get stuck i dont know what could be causing this problem but it makes like a clicking noise really loud i dont know if the motors are bad but its on both side maybe something came loose but ive look before and didnt find anything any help would be appreciated thanks

I've had the same problem with a few of my past vehicles. It's normally the motor that's going. However, the car I'm driving right now also has power windows and the driver's window click - sort of sticks even - between the three quarter way closed point when being rolled down and being rolled up. I've been told by modding buds that the problem is most likely a loosened part. If it were me, I'd take it to my mechanic and ask him about it. That's probably something they see all of the time and can diagnose quickly. Autoshop workers may even be able to determine the problem. Good luck man.

ok cool my car isnt running now in the process of getting a motor so its on stand ill look into it tomorrow thanks for the help ill take my panels off tomorrow and check them out

It may be that the window is binding at the guides. That would make the thermal switch overheat and perhaps produce the clicking should you mention.
