t tops
How do i get the black metal pieace connected to my body under the t top off there is rust damage and i cant sand it without removing the pieace does it just pop out? Im trying not to break it

mines rusty to, they are expensive to replace. I have t tops also that leaks some times i need to find the most reliable t top weatherstrip for 88 trans am my self.

there are more than six i believe. i think there are eight. not important though. there are the coners, that will be hidden under the weatherstripping. depending on how much rust damage that is there, you may not find a screw head. when i redid mine almost all of the screw heads were non existant due to the rust. pry bar and vicegrips are your best friend.

New I have seen them for $200 or so, used in good shape on eBay were going for $50+, and I got a fairly decent one (no real deep rust, fine after sandblasting) from my local pull-a-part for $10...
In other words, if you can find a decent one at a junkyard, that will probably be your best bet. Although, it can't hurt to hit eBay for a while, and see if you can't get in on a nice one for a decent price... Good luck!
