T-tops don't fit, why?

I have a set of t-tops of my old 91 Z-28 and I just recently purchases a 91 RS. I went to put on the t-tops and they don't fit right, with the tops on there is still alot of weahter stripping on both sides like the RS t tops were wider. Did they make different t tops or is there some sort of trip missing? thanks guys.

They only made glass and leaxen tops with pin and hook styles to lock them there are two different size pins small and large for the pin style... you might just have to adjust the part they lock into

there are 2 different types of t-tops, factory and the ones installed by C&C (spl?) outside from the factory. They are very different in design, the factory ones are larger i believe.

Re: T-tops don't fit, why?

Do you mean the weatherstripping for the door glass (on the outside edge of the top) if a different length? Midway through the 1991 model year, GM revised the t-tops weatherstripping to a MUCH better more watertight design and the length of the piece on the t-tops itself is a different design too. One car probably had the old design and one the new design. I'm pretty sure that's what your problem is, but definately post pictures if you can so I can make sure I understand what you're saying.

I'll try to get some pics. But yeah the weather stripping on the sides (front and back) of the t-top are showing.
