Ok, someone mentioned that the hoods are the same but I am not too sure about that. I have a 92 z28 with the blisters. On the Iroc hoods I noticed that there is a little ridge coming up on near the bottom of front where you insert the louver. I don't see this ridge on my hood.

First image is of the iroc hood notice the ridge (unless its a lightening thing lol):



second shot is of my z28 hood getting repainted. I don't see the same ridge and I don't recall there being a ridge:



Can anyone with an iroc confirm that there is a ridge?

as far as ive heard they are same ive seen a few irocs with the blister put on them, but dont know from my own experience

I have an 88 IROC hood on my Camaro with blisters from a 92' Z28 , yes, they are the same.

Hmm but is there a difference between the z28 and rs hoods? I thought 92 rs's and 92 z28s both had the same hoods except one with blisters.

Rs hood is completely flat while the z28/iroc hoods have indentations for the louvers and or the blisters you install into them. If you look at the picture I posted that is pretty clear no?

No its not clear because the picture of the hood you posted was A Iroc-z hood not a 91-92z28 hood. My question was that, If I had an Rs hood would The 91-92 Hood z28 blisters fit on it? I concluded over the past years that there was no difference between the two(a 92 rs and a 92 z28)...which I may be wrong. But last I checked They were ALL flat hoods on All 91-92 cars except the hood blisters which were attached to the top of the flat hoods on the 91-92 z28's.. so that means I was asking the question of was the iroc-z hood and z28 hood the same and by the data on this post already no one has told me the information. :-)

Wrong. I posted an Iroc hood (red/burgandy) and a 92 z28 hood (black). Both hoods have indentations for the louvers and or blisters. RS hoods are flat and you can't install louvers and or blisters because they would not fir correctly.

As castro said the z28 hoods are indented for the louvers. An RS hood is completely flat so they would not work. Hawks (one of our sponsors) has a set of louvers that you can install in your RS flat hood to work and look the same as the z28 hoods however. RS's never had the same hood as a z28.

OK it floats my boat. Just never really thought they were different.. Havent been able to reply for a while, hurricane Ike really screwed things up around here.
