its really annoying when I'm driving and the t-tops squeak. any easy ways to fix this? do I just need new weatherstripping?

Re: t-tops squeaking
Do you mean that the T-tops shift and squeak while you are moving? Maybe you could use some Silicone spray to moisten the rubber, to reduce the squeaking, but not a permanent fix. Good luck.

You can try adjust the t-tops, maybe lower where the pins go in a little.
You probably need weld in subframe connectors. The body is twisting make them squeak. I can highly recommend the ones from Global West; I've put them on a couple of cars and they work great.
I had the same problem and it fixed it.

Re: t-tops squeaking
Weld-ons are the only way to go. Welded front and rear and stitch welded down the sides.
Theirs are weld on.

I was going to suggest SFC's.. I will either tottaly eliminate the squeaking , or almost, at least. Weld in is the only way to go, the holes in the bolt on ones will eventually wallow out, and the weld-in's will stiffen the car more than the bolt-is will. You will be happier with the way the car handles and feels on the road. Not so much "Cowl-shimmy".
