Re: Rolling my fenders
a BFH would work, or a baseball bat. but safest bet would be the proper tool.

Re: Rolling my fenders
While simply usig the baseball is usually OK, I would suggest considering to cut the inner lip...little cutsever few inches, then using the baseball bat. That way, your not trying to roll the lip in 1 long piece, but rather in short sections.

This thread is crackin' me up.
Baseball bat... hehe
I need pics to either make the image that much more hilarious that I have in my mind or make it so I can understand what the heck the process is.

Re: Rolling my fenders
ohhhhh, thats how you do it, for some reason i was thinking that the baseball bat was slightly larger than the distance from the tire to the fender so you wedge it in then roll the car forward so it dragged the bat between the lire and fender, which rolled the inner fender in. lol

Re: Rolling my fenders
Well...sorta.
Put the bat in at an angle, pressing up on the lip. Have a friend "drive" , really just easing on/off the brake, and let the idle creep the car forward, him holding the pedal, but letting the car GENTLY move forward. It'll cause the bat to roll the inner lip up, if the person holding the bat keeps pressre right, holding the bat at the angle they need to push up on the lip.
I still think trimming the inside of the lip makes it easier, to move it in short sections, rather than in one long section.

Yep. Maybe 1/4" deep? I haven't looked in a long time, so I forget exactly how tall that lip is.
Cut just enough, but not enough that you can see the cut from outside the car.

Re: Rolling my fenders
I had mine done at a wheel/tire shop with a roller similar to those sold by Eastwood. Still flaked the paint on the lip, but Im having mine repainted eventually anyway.
If you're careful you'll get just as good a result with a baseball bat. Just don't try to do the entire job in one roll
