how to remove GTA hood grills?
is there any possible way to remove the grills on the hood of a 88 gta without ruining them or the hood?
i want to paint behind the grills black.

do a search I had a thread for this same question a while ago, for the front ones theres 4 bolts each, the back ones theres clips.

The front two grills, theres 4 "bolts" but they arent really bolts. You need an 11mm socket (deep) and it should come off easily. Its one of those retainers that have a hex head on it, so you should loosen, and like 1 or 2 turns later they come off. Theres 2 on the front of each grill, 4 in total, then the front of the grill lifts up, and pulls out.
For the rears, theres two clips that run along the INSIDE of the vent. You will need a long flat head screwdriver, Theres 2 clips for each vent, they are fairly large, dont mistake the plastic honeycomb clips for the larger ones.
You may also need to remove the "foam" around the vents that seals them and keeps water out, to be able to reach the clips.
