new to the forum, question to be answered...
it's kinda late now cause i already bought it, but....
1984 Camaro Berlinetta "Starwars"
5.0 V8 4bl, Auto, T Tops, AC, Power everything, 136,667 miles. Beige in color. A small amount of rust under the hood and a drivers side door that needs to be replaced. It's been sitting in a garage the past 7 years. Flawless interior. Complete with the swivel radio/tape deck. Needs a paint job.
1. how much would you pay for it ( just wondering...)
2. besides belts/drain the gas/ oil and standard maint what should i look for? i'm having it towed to my house to work on it.

the rust on the hood isn't too bad. i can buy another hood for 60. but the door has a pretty mean dent in it and where the dent is there is some rust.. better to replace the door.

Without looking at it and being a starwars edition with everything power A/C and T/Tops like 2gs to 3gs just because of the time it sat in the garage and the parts you have to replace. just my personal opinion ()

Good Luck with the car!
I have an '85 Berlinetta that's similar. 5.0 carb, T-tops, all power (no hatch pull-down).
Besides the stuff you mentioned, I would keep an eye on the fuel pump after starting. It's a mechanical unit on the front passenger side of the block. After 17 years, the diaphram my break (happened to mine), leaking gas on the ground, or back into the block to mix with the oil.
There is a fuel filter on the carb at the end of the gas line. Probabaly a good idea to change that. Be sure to use two wrenches to remove the fitting. It's easy to twist the fuel line if you don't
Another problem I had was that the rear transmisson mount was split, and would lift up and bang on the tunnel when I got on it, or made a hard right. It may look fine, but push up on the tailshaft and it'll move.
Do you have the cassette radio? If so, is the door broken? If not, want to sell it?! Just kidding. My door is broken, and I'm trying to find a good '86 head (always looking for good hea.......).
