Proper paint for rear hatch frame?
I need to sand off some rust and repaint the metal frame that goes around the hatch glass, what is the proper black color to get? Was it a flat black or a semi-gloss or something different? The original has faded quite a bit and I can't remember the color it used to be. I also need to re-do the paint on the T-Tops, was it the same color as the hatch?

I used a flat black, after removing all the rust and using a self etching primer. i have done my t tops and am going to be doing my rear hatch back like you. With the flat black, it looks really good. fits right into the whole scheme.

I believe it was a satin black. In a rattlecan version it is called trim black
