Stock rim Weight

Does anyone know the weight of just the 16X8 rims on our cars. I am looking at putting her on a little diet, with adding a better look.

Re: Stock rim Weight

Dunno about the Camaro ones, but the 16 x 8 crosslace wheels are the lightest factory wheels. 16lbs

Re: Stock rim Weight

Here's a quick run down of the wheels I have personal weighed my self.

GTA crosslace 16X8 without tire is 16.5 lbs

Both double line and single line IROCs weigh around the same at a pig heavy weight of 25 lbs.

15x7 five star RS wheels are 19lbs

and last but not least the 91-92 wheels are 19.8 lbs.

as said I have personally weigh these wheels and this is what I came up with.

Re: Stock rim Weight

That's interesting to hear that the IROC wheels were the heaviest. You would think that since that was the top of the line model camaro that it would have one of the lightest sets of wheels. Kind of makes you wonder what else could be drastically improved...

Re: Stock rim Weight

I couldn't believe how heavy the IROC's were. I was thinking the same thing about them being the lightest. I weighed them with a KDW tire 222/50/16 and it came out at a ridiculous 52 lbs. My GTA's with My Kuhmos are only 41lbs.
