HIDs on 92 Camaro

I've seen a few pics, but I'm kinda new to this... so I'm not sure how it all works, what extra stuff (if any) should be installed (like ballasts?) ... So, anybody got pics of some HID's? And where did you get them? What's involved in the installation? Help a cracker out!

Re: HIDs on 92 Camaro

i have a set on my 87 iroc....first thing you need to do is get a h4 conversion headlights from sumwhere...ebay prolly....and then you need to get an hid kit that comes with a h4 bulb to fit into the housing....then you have to instal both of them....and then you have to get a relay kit for it or relay it yourself...so it doesnt burn out the stock wiring when the balasts light up the gas in the bulb....

You'll need some H4 conversion headlight housings, you can get some from Hella that look like similar to the stock lights or you can get some "euro" style ones from eBay (which is what I did because I didn't want the stock look). You'll also want to get the APC headlight conversion harness (I got this cheaper off eBay). Then you'll need to decide whether you want just low beam HIDs or high beam too and what color. Just remember, each bulb needs a ballast so you need to think about where you're going to put them. I just bought a low beam kit from ledgauges.com. It was a little more expensive, but worth it I think. I recently bought the cheapest HID kit on eBay for the fog lights and the color on the more expensive kit looks better in my opinion. Of course, then I bought a 9006 kit from that same seller for a Tahoe and the color was much nicer.
