Belle Tire auto glass?

Belle Tire auto glass?
Well I went around town the other day getting quotes to replace my badly cracked windsheild. Belle tire undercut everybody by $30 or more. The glass specialty shop I went to was almost $80 more than belle, a body shop was just about exactly $30 more.
Has anybody had Belle Tire do their windsheild? Hows the workmanship? What about product quality?

How much do they want to change it?
Last places I looked up wanted $240 - $260, for the glass and the work.
But I usually just buy the glass and do the work myself, glass costs about $80.00 for me normally.
But as for the quality of their work. Belle Tire is a chain, and like many chains it really depends on which one you go to.
I have had great luck with some, and terrible luck with others, but none have done window replacement for me.... Yet

$173.12 exactly from Belle Tire, regularly $257 from Henderson but they have some type of special right now for -$50 so its $207. Another local body shop would do it for $200 even.
I'm wondering where Belle cuts costs at, materials or labor dollars? Or should I say just on labor dollars (I hear they pay awful) or if they use lousy materials also.

The material cost for 3rd gen auto glass replacement is pretty cheap.
I would guess they are cutting costs in labor rate.
Perhaps this price will only remain low for a while until they build a name for themselves in window replacement.
The thing is, most likely the guy from Belle that works on your car, may have little to no experience in windshield replacement, and maybe zero experience with 3rd gen windshields.
Compare that to another copy that has been in the business of changing windows for years, they have probabily been there and done that, hundreds of times.
But, its not like it takes a rocket scientist to change a windshield.
The first one I changed myself I did a fine job and it didn't leak or fall out.
So, I would just ask the store manager the What-Ifs, such as what if they damage my paint or car or break the window, will Belle tire fix these things for free if they damage it.
Those type of what-ifs.
But other than that.. sounds like a great price.
I would almost consider it myself if I didn't have the windshield out of my car already.
