Re: Aluminum bumper supports

if your speaking of the bumper reinforcement, buy them, i haven't a clue. I don't think that they procude them. Get them, in a junk yard, i believe the 4 cyl. cars had them from what i've read, someone can add to this if i'm wrong, but junk yard is your best bet.

I believe that Classic Industries has aluminum bumper supports for firebirds in their catalog.

oem a hard find and too expensive. aftermarket looks identical and much cheaper. many autobody shops can get them for you, make a friend at a body shop.

I got mine off a 82 z28 in a junkyard. Required a little modification on the honeycomb, but not to bad.

But I got mine off an 84 Z28, $40. I think all 82-84 Z28s had them.

Re: Aluminum bumper supports

I got one off a 84 Z28. I've thought about modifying it to fit my GTA, but just haven't tried. The Camaro ones are like 2" too wide for Firebirds, from what I hear. Just hafta trim the ends a bit.
