There actually are people who made custom lights for their firebirds. It uses the stock lights but they're constantly popped up like 2-3" and the lights stick out. I wish I had pics to explain it better.

Did a lot of thinking on this end a few years back, and there are a few things you can do...
As stated, there is the mod where you can have them jut up a little bit, or even stay level if you use the right lights (can even use a camaro hood, then). For the latter, look around this forum for 'redraif', a good project car from way back when (haven't been on here in years, myself).
Otherwise, you can force the headlight to open up halfway or so, and use any combination of headlights, driving lights, or fog lights you can cram in. To stop the headlight, you can just switch out the stopper screws with longer ones (1/4" standard, I think). I might of read something about the 91-92 motors stopping via a relay though.. (forum search should clear it up).
Personally, I had imagined getting the 'truck' headlight relay kit from summit, and wiring up two 4x2in (WxH) driving lights for the low/highs (lower for low, both for highs), and top it off with a 3.5" circular foglight toward the middle.

well iv seen the half closed headlights where they look like there "wincing" or "winking" head lights, but i seen in a magazine i have (totally worng car and everything) that someone took like 300zx head lights and put them in a 240sx wich has pop up head lights and it looks pretty good so i was trying to see if there wasa car that could have something that would work in my firebird

Why would you want to do away with that? It is one of the coolest things on that model Firebird/TAs.

Check out my post in "fabrication". Im trying to get something going on this topic as well. I have a couple of different ideas but nothing specifically for the 3rd gen. 'bird.

i think i have pretty much decided that im going to keep there flip up lights and keep them origional not make them wink or anything like that but im going to cut a pontiac emblem pattern out of the top of them and put some like green lights behind them so that when the lights are off i can flip a switch and the pontiac emblems will glow green
