Pontiac Jongbloed/Sunoco hood
I emailed Hawk's about the possibility of producing Firebird Sunoco (their name for the Jongbloed-style hood)hoods...
If anybody is interested...
"Hi, they can be made, but it would have to be done on a minimum group purchase of 10 hoods. In short, to answer your question they can be made to be available, but we do not have them in stock
We take original hoods and mold them as would any car manufacturer. The thing is he will not do just one hood off of the bat. Best bet is to call in and talk with Bruce regarding this if you are really serious.
Thanks Jeni![Smilie](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Hmm.. they did a pretty good job on the notchback.
It's not a powerbulge, but it'd be better than nothing for heat extraction and weight savings.

I wondered what it would look like painted. Not perfect, just a quickie PS job....I took the liberty of taking the license plate out of the windshield.

I'm surprised by how many times I've seen people say they want one, yet, now we have the opportunity to get one, and there are zero replies...

Re: Pontiac Jongbloed/Sunoco hood
I may be interested, I'll be trying my best to get my stock hood to fit on my engine swap. I'm thinking it will, but it's way too early for me to tell
Maybe in the spring/early summer I'll have a better idea if I want to go this route.

What are they asking on pricing, I am highly interested in this, I emailed VFN about it but they can only make it in an 8" extended pin on hood.

Talk to Bruce, see what he'll do. Let him know Jeni has already corresponded via email, about the possibility of making them.

Re: Pontiac Jongbloed/Sunoco hood
So, in other words, they arn't going to make just one hood if it's not going to really benefit them in any way. I'm all about getting one, just if it has to be a minimum of 10 orders, I kinda think we're screwed.

Re: Pontiac Jongbloed/Sunoco hood
They haven't even given a clear "YES" on making one. With enough buyers, I'm sure they would. If you paid enough for a one-off, I'm sure they would do that to....with them having the rights to put them into production, with the initial buyer reaping no profits from the future sells, same as any other company would do.

I may give ol' Brucey a call. I want one. I can't find a decent cowl hood anywhere.
