Can these be buffed out???
I included the picture that someone is giving me as they try and sell their taillgihts to me...excuse the quality...i'm curious if anyone from these pictures, before or IF i even get more/better pictures from them...if someone can say whether or not they think these can be buffed clean again or so they appear to be too bad? Thanks in advance.

Re: Can these be buffed out???
they look like they may beable to be sanded and buffed. i just polished mine yesterday actually. i think they look great when done. i used 500grit paper then put the buffing wheel on the old hand drill and used brown tripoli compound. mine are shining like new. i still need to replace the bird in the middle though mine is cracked all through. i shouldnt think you would have a prob doing thoughs though.

Re: Can these be buffed out???
the pics are too small.
almost all scratches can be buffed out so long as they are not deep, the hardest thing to find with these lights is a set that is not separating

And if they aren't separating, be sure not to get the lens too warm when buffing or they may start to.

Re: Can these be buffed out???
thanks for the info guys, i don't feel like dealing with any seperation ever...so i think i'll stay away from the 85-90 and the 91-92 t/a lights, any story behind 82-84 t/a lights? anything to look out for, anything to worry about? thanks for the insight guys!

Re: Can these be buffed out???
yea i figured, idk, i like the old design carried from the 79-81 into our generation of taillights, and i don't want to deal with seperation, so this seems like the course of action i might take, thanks all!
