Re: Grill removal

I did this to my old rs way too long ago to remember exactly, but if i can recall anything, you have to get under the car, and on the back of the grille theres 4 or so screws holding it in. Theyre pretty easy too see, i dont recall where but im gonna say top left/right and bottom left/right is a good guess. I think there might be 2 more at the center of the grille on the front. Im sure someone can correct me. But in all honesty, if you get down and look for them, its a very easy job. Just be ready for your car to look very ugly without a grille. As far as what kinds of screws hold it in, all the ones i dealt with were phillips.

yeah i believe it is 4 screws, i cant recall exactly where they are either but if you look for them you will find them, it should only take like 5 minutes to remove the grill.

Re: Grill removal

Just did the same with my '91 and I had 6 torx head screws. 2 into the center, 2 more at each upper corner and 2 more at the bottom corners.

PS. Anyone know where I can find another of the louvered grills? Mine died in a dogfight....

btw i wasnt planning on leaving it out, i need to take it out to mount an air horn on the brace behind it. but since im taking it out anyway does anyone know if the z28 grill is a direct replacement, or if i have to do some fabricating.
