installing new door weatherstripping
I have some new replacement weatherstripping for my car but have a couple questions.
1 do the door panels need to be off to install the weatherstripping?
2 do you put adhesive all around where the weatherstripping is on the door?
3 after installing on your cars did it qiuet the door shutting rattles down?

Re: installing new door weatherstripping
Its been a while since I installed these, but from what i remember:
1. Nope, the weatherstripping is held in place by some nylon/plastic push pins. you can't see them because they are surrounded by the actual weatherstripping. just pry them out with some needle nose pliers or an upholstery tool.
2. I don't believe you need to, as it will be streched pretty flush and tight due to the push pins. you can if you want some extra protection. If so, go with 3M brand.
3. It may a bit because it will be fresh and less compressed than the stuff coming off, but that rattling has less to do with your w/s then it does your hinges and parts in the door.
