carbon fiber/fiberglass fenders?
I think I know the answer to one of those, but just checking anyways. Has anyone been able to find carbon fiber quarter panels for a third gen yet?
And, has anyone here had experience with fiberglass panels in the past? Do they chip much, hard to take care of or even worth it? My panels are in decent shape but ones has a torn screw hold at the bottom (part that attaches under the car.) and they need to be sandblasted in the back. So pondering on upgrading.

Never heard of fiberglass quarter panels. You dont save enough weight with the fenders to justify the money geting them. The stock ones arent heavy at all.

Fair enough and makes sense. And I'm guessing no one here knows of any carbon fiber parts at all for these cars, like hoods or anything? Not enough market probably. Well, has anyone had experience with after market fenders. Mine are in decent shape but they'll need a bit of work and sandblasting. I see that crosscanadaparts.com have aftermarkets for 98$. Can anyone share their experience with aftermarkets?

i could make you a set of c/f fenders in about 2-3 weeks. figure on around $1000 a fender give or take slightly. possibly more only because of the cost of real c/f. if you wanted several copies it would be less, most time is in making the female mold.
i thought about it and then woke up. had i not gotten to far into my c/f interior i never would have done it all with c/f. the hardest parts are the tight angles and curves getting it to lay smoothly. sure looks cool though.
