Help needed - body panel alignment
Although my car was painted 3 years ago I've been too busy with interior and chassis work to get into doing the body panel alignment work since post-painting reassembly. My doors are out of whack after doing the TDS door pins, my fenders, spoiler, and nose are all slightly off, and the hatch is misaligned. The hatch is easy but I could use some pointers as too where to start on the hood, fender, and nose alignment - Which do I start with to use for a reference?.. Also, I have the "door alignment tool" from MAC tools - is this used to tweak the hinges or do I need to loosen them for alignment (I thought they were factory aligned and non-adjustable)?

i always try to get the doors set right, the gaps all right around the doors, well along the rocker and the rear opening edge
and then align the frnders to the doors, get that gap inbeteen the doors and fenders straightand even, use washers and tweak the panels when needed, the fenders are very easy to bend and make fit right,
i like to leave the bumper frame loosely bolted to the frame ends but bolted to the fenders and when i need to lift the front of the fenders up to fix the gap between the doors and fenders then i lift the bumper frame with the bumper and then tighten up a bumper frame nut real quick to keep it all there
then lastly align the nose cover to the fender ends
i just did all this on my 82 t/a yesterday, not the doors thoguh, they have never been touched and the pins are still tight and nice, so.
good luck
