wipers lost some travel after getting stuck in ice

My wipers got stuck in ice the other day and I tried to turn them on and of course they tried to move but couldent.

So then when I did get them free, They no longer travel all the way to the edge of the windshield and back. They go about 3/4 of the stroke they used to but return and park fine.

Did I screw up the linkage or did the arms shift or something?

Thanks for help.

The linkage has some adjustment built into them, probably just need to readjust them when warmer.

Do you know where this adjustment is?

Mine don't seem to go back into park all the way. Seems like the passenger side is up more then it should be.

Pull the plastic screen mesh assembly off and the linkage to each arm should be acessable. There are 2 screws that hold the linkage adjustments.

ok, I took off the screen today, and trying to find where to adjust the passenger side, but I'm not sure what I need to do?

I just need to adjust it a tad bit, so it goes down further in park mode. The drivers side is fine, but the passenger side doesn't seem to go down as far.

I'm looking Chiltons manual, but it doesn't say anything about adjustments.

The adjustment for the whole mechanism is on the rods behind the driver side screen. if you need to adjust one wiper up or down relative to the other you need to take the arm off and do it there. there is some adjustment to the angle the arm sits at depending on how you put it on. Be carefull taking the old arm off though, thats how I broke mine.

ah, so not as easy as I was hoping.

I think I'll just leave it, if there was a simple adjustment I would give it a try, but I don't feel like taking it all apart just to make it go down just a tad more.
