Floor Pan help!!
I am in bad need of replacing my floor pans. the rest of the car is in great shape. It has a nice 5spd 400 small block in it. im excited to get the floor done so i can drive it safely and get it out of my garage by spring! I have the whole interior of the car out and had a body welder guy come look at it. He says in order to do it i need a new part that i cant remember the name of, besides the floor pans. The part is welded to back seat floor and the frame as it eventually goes back to connect to the leaf springs. He said something of a box its called. any ideas?

Well for starters we do not have leaf springs. We are not chariots ![Smilie](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Perhaps he meant "Boxed" lower control arms. Which are aftermarket control arms.
I am not really certain what you or your welder is asking. Looks like a typical cut and weld patch job. Nothing fancy.

That is part of the Unibody frame. I would get a new car before I cut into pandoras box but you ain't me. So basically have someone plasma torch you a section out of a salvage yard and have your buddy weld it. Then I would get subframe connectors before I thought about driving it.
