Adding a TransAm body kit to my 86 Firebird?
You know, the bumper extension with the fog lights, the side and back... How hard is it to attach the pieces? What's involved?
Also, any ideas on what they would run out of a junkyard? I'm 17, and here in Jacksonville you have to be 18 to go in them, not sure what it's like other places, but anyone have an estimate for all sides?

To do it right, you'll need both a new front and rear bumper cover, and the side panel extensions. There are five of those for each side of the car (front fender in front of tire, behind tire, under door, in front of rear tire, back of rear tire). I think that they all attach from underneath with screws but I'll have to go out in the garage and check to be sure. If you hunt and call around, you could probably find new replacement bumper covers for about $80 each, the rest of the parts needed in anybody's guess. I'd say at least $200 unless you can find a deal. Good luck!
