1987 iroc door decals

Hey guys, I'm putting "IROC Z" door decals on my doors. The problem is they are cut for a 1988 iroc and the template is cut for putting them on the rear of the door instead of the front. I want to put the sticker near the front of the door like it should be for the 1987 model year. Is there anyone who can give me the measurement of where the "IROC decal should be placed exactly to factory specs on the front of the door. Pix would also be great. I'm extremely **** about getting this right. Thanks.

ok i got it here in this pic. good luck on application, hope they gave you some good instructions.

EDIT: wow thats a bad pic, you cant tell if thats 6.5" or 65 feet. the measurements are 6.5" from the front of the door, and 2.5" from the ground effect.

IROC door label

Gramps...you have been a great help! On the IROC door measurement, is that vertical measurement from the bottom of the door?

Also, thanks for the stripe info. Since my car is black, I assume I place the gold stripe ~3/4 inch above the ground effects? Then, how wide should the gold stripe be? I owe you!

sandslot, i think in your thread i posted the pic where the stripe is 3/4" of black and then 3/8" of gold. so a 3/8" gold stripe which is 3/4" above the ground effects will be the stock look. and all my measurements are based on ground effects. before you put on the stripes, put on your ground effects and line everything up so when you put on the stripes, they line up with eachother.

good luck with the striping, and if your gonna do it yourself, read the instructions (if any) because the difference between a good decal and a bad one is watering down the decal before applying. (thats how you know ppl did thier own rear window tinting, all those air bubbles).
