need help with a dent

well i went in my garage today and found my cars front fender has a nice lacrosse ball size dent in it(my brother plays lacrosse). the dent is right on the part of the fender where top meets the side and has the curve. is there any way of just popping the dent out from inside the fender, or do i seriously need to repaint the fender????
a freind that does body work told me just to take it off, pull the dent out, bondo it and repaint the whole thing. i really dont want to go that far, the dent isn't very deep.

Think you could give us a picture? i used to have a dent in my fender from the previous owner having some idiotic fun in the snow. When me and my dad went to fix it we had to move some stuff around under the hood to be able to get to it. If i remember it wasnt too much stuff, the horn and the parking light, maybe 1 or 2 more minor things. It was easy enough for us, all we needed was some sockets to get to it.

Wouldnt hurt to try pulling it without having to paint it but if you want it perfect the best bet would be to take it off and do it right.

you might be bale to have the dent removed using PDR (paintless dent removal) I'd have to see a picture though....

What color is the car. If it needs to be painted it might b wise to leave it on the car as you may have to blend the door. Ive never been a big fan of PDR but thats just me. I do auto body for a living so Id rather get out as much as i could and skin the rest. It sounds like its in a tricky stop to pop out a dent and would most likely be wavey once poped out, even if you could get it to come out.
