Front Bumper Cover Replacement
I need to remove and replace the front bumper cover on my 87 Z 28. It has the GFX. Any tips, hints, or advice ?? Also, should I have the new or repaired bumper cover painted before I install it or have it painted while on the car after installation?
Thanks.
Thanks.

My sons the head painter at a body shop and he likes to paint bumpers while they are off the car. It comes out better and will probably be cheaper. The only drawback is the paint may have to be blended in to the hood and front fenders.

We painted bumpers off of the vehicle when I worked at the body shop, you get a much better finished product when done like that.
and whats weird is that even on new cars...the parts that are made from urethane (like our front and rear bumpers) never match...not sure if it's something with the urethane or what....
