iroc wheels

i have some iroc one lines, and i want to put them on my 86 berli. right now i was sanding them down, and i noticed there is a differnece in backspacing for the fron/rear set of iroc wheels, but there is no backspace difference on my berlinetta. will they fit? why the backspace difference?
