Front License Plate mounting?
I just recently purchased a 1989 GTA and got my new plates today. Unfortunatly, Maryland requires front mounted liscense plates. So, I put them both on and I decided that that the front plate looks terrible mounted on the front bumper. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on where else I can put the plate and still have it visible?

I know in nevada alot of us put it in the bottom right corner of the front window, Makes it alot harder to steel. Anyway I would just call your local police/ sheriff station and ask them.

my friends dad lives in Maryland, and he had the front plate on his newer mustang roushe and took it off for a car show, and didn't put it back on for the short drive home, and he was pulled over and the cop made him put it back on.

In most cases, where the law requires it's citizens to have a visible front license plate shown unblocked by any object, it is up to the L.E.O. to enforce it. Most Police Officers don't care weather you have one, it varies on the area you are in and how much crime is in the area. In essence, if your in Beverly Hills the police will most likely pull you over for not having your license plate mounted in the front of the vehicle since there is almost NO crime there, and if your in Compton or WATTS, the police will not be concerned about your "PLATES being in the front" only if you look suspicous or they are bored, who has time to worry about front license plates when your patrolling the U.S's top dangerous city??

I suppose that would be a great place but that would make it harder to see and make the officers more leary. If a thief is going to "steel " a plate he will break a window, or use whatever means it takes to get that plate!

I've heard there is a push to get cars to wear the front plates so the camera's will be able to identify the one's running red lights.
I have a front licence plate and I keep it the rear storage compartment. I had my IROC for about a year now, I've been stopped for expired tags, warned about speeding, and burned out tail light, but no mention about front plates.
