Cleaned this one up for my 16 year old daughters first car. Just looking for feedback. Does it look to chezzy for a 16 year old who likes orange? The original brown looks a lot better in the pic than up close. A full interior change was done to black. The seats were done old style. The paint was all done at the house with a $19 ebay special hvlp gun. Shaved the antenna. The 305 has the edlebrock cam package with a preformer and a 600cfm. Shorty heddmans with a edelbrock rpm exhaust. The ecm is gone with a mallory type ignition installed unsure its a off brand. Still debating on the spoiler being Hugger orange.

Thanks for the replies and if her grades were where my oldest sons was several years ago she would be driving a three quart a day smoker.
Shes a great 4.6 gpa and wanted something retro not Civic or ***** like the rest of the kids at school. I think we have the oldest and most rodded 80's out there. I'll post some better pics later and some of the progress shots. All the work was done in a home garage except for the seats we sent those out. Still got a list to do on her. The console lid was gone and cant find one for the 84(they must have been the odd one) so made one from a sweet piece of oak. I want to stain it but she wants it black. This site has been a great plus I have spent many hours and midnight beers sitting up reading. Thanks to all who have posted with the info we needed.

I had a V8 77 Malibu at 16. I found myself a pickup when my little sis turned 16, now I've got an 86 Z and the 77 is going to my baby bro when he turns 16 next year. It's great that alot of 16yr olds I've heard of lately are into the older American muscle. Nice 'bird. I'd like to see more of it...

Awesome, i like it. Antennas suck. And going all black interior has to be sweet.
Getting a thirdgen as a first car is so cool, especially these days with more kids geting small cars or mustangs or 4th gens. I've had my T/A since age 14 but the import, 4 cylinder, fast/furious crap was pretty much non-existant back then.
