Lambo Style Doors
I dont know about you guys but i really wish LSD doors made hinges for third generations so I submited an application but they responded saying that it was based on number of people who want them so go to lsd-doors.com if your like me and want some quality vertical doors.

I'm really not sure there are very many people on here who are into the Lambo doors deal. Seems more like a "Fast and Furious" mod than a Thirdgen mod, you know? It has come up a few times in the past, and that is the impression I get of the board members' reaction. For all that money and work, you could set yourself up with some killer rims, a system, engine mods to go faster, interior mods to be more comfortable etc.

lol, I see what you mean.
Well, if you love the doors, then go and try to get them somehow, it's all about you loving your car.
But, if you have cash to burn, get some 4th gen seats, or some sweet wheels, or something else to set your car apart.

even with a one-hinge-fit's-all deal i thing that our doors on the third gens are too heavy for lambo doors. those kind of mods are done to little cars with light doors. however i have seen suicide doors done pretty well. if your looking to stand out without lifting a heavy door over your head every day i think that is the safe way to go. think about the gas strut that your back window opens with... you gotta get it part way before it takes off.

For those who say they are too heavy and what not, you are wrong. Also the pic that was posted above is of that stupid evo kit thing. That has a wierdo diagonal hinge.
I personally DO have a nice lambo kit hinge that works GREAT. and they go straight up. Don't believe me, here are pics of the doors up. and one of me getting out without having them have to go up if I do not want them to.
Fully adjustable, 100% chromoly steel. Option to make electric powered and I have 0, yes 0 trained experience in welding or doing any custom work and I did it in a weekend with a good amount of determination.
I got them for a solid $800 shipped.

If your complaining about a V6, junk the lambo idea and buy a small block. Should be about the same price.
Lambo doors on any F-Body would look stupid and retarted.

I did mine for $800 as I said before, not sure what kinda SBC you can get your hands for that kinda $. Maybe a used 305 or something.
If he is more into the looks of the car, then don't shoot down his ideas. You don't have to agree with them, but there is no reason to put them down.
This thread clearly was made to help someone LEARN more about how to do a mod, not weather or not it was cool.
Anyways, back on topic... If you wanna know how to put them in, I did a step by step walkthrough on my cardomain site. Check it out. There are plenty more pics.
(Acctually I will be adding about 20 more pics today, maybe even right now, )

Dennis, I applaud your customization of your car, even though I am not into the concept myself.
It is cool that you can swing open the door to exit without having it go straight up. Can it swing out further than what is shown in the pic, or is that as far as it goes before it rises?
How much extra slack do you have to add to the wiring harness so that it doesn't get ripped apart when the door swings up?

Thanks, That is as far is it can go without going up. I can adjust it to give more, but then the hydros whould want to push the fender off the car. That is all the room I ever use, so thats all I adjusted it to. If you really need more, then you can find ways to add more. It is a custom install, so whatever you want, you can do. As long as you want it bad enough. I am very comfortable with the install and with getting in and out without having the doors go up. That is what I do all the time when working on the car. Then when a fw buddies come over and wanna see the car, I toss them up and they all go ooooohhhh aaahhhhh! LOL. Then after 5 minutes of looking at what the hell I did, they allways ask exactly what you asked. Can you get in and out without them going up? and I am allways happy to say, YES.
You have to add maybe 6-10" MAX to the wires. Takes maybe 15 minutes if you solder and vacume seal like I did.
