Chipped Windshield

Looking really close today revealed a small chip in my windshield. Do those little tiny cracks spread bigger over time like the big cracks? Also do the crack repair kits that permatex or whatever work at all? Thanks for any help guys.

You might as well get it fixed if it needs to be fixed, it's cheaper than buying new glass.

also if u dont want your windshield replaced theres a way to make the cracks stop im not sure anymore how to do it you have to like drill a small hole at the end of the crack or mark a small x after it something like that just dont try it until u know for sure

Oh yeah they spread, I promise. My windsheild has a crack ALL the way across it because of a tiny chip. I have even been pulled by the cops and told to fix it, but i can't afford it right now.
