Lead in paint?

I starting stripping paint off my car this weekend and it wasn't until last night that I thought about this. Is there lead in the factor paint or primer?

With the emmission laws and whatnot in California I sincerely doubt that GM would be allowed to spray leaded paint in the factories. Hell, California was giving them a hard time about the safer paint they were using, hence fourth gen production took place in Canada.

And as stated above: lead paint fased out in the 70s or so. It was a big health risk.

oh yes most certainly with anykind of bodywork where there will be vapors or dust of any sort you should always wear some kind of respitory (sp?) protection.

The more you think about stuff like this, the less you get done! Now get back to work. No more excuses.
