If that dashpad is in as good a shape as it looks, I would put it in a MUCH safer place . It looks like its balancing on something, waiting to fall and crack the corners.

I'd say its about time for another update
Sadly, due to school and other things I have to deal with before my car, I have not had alot of time to work on it, but I am making some progress. I pulled the dash out and replaced a bunch of wires, removed alot aswell, the car had TWO alarms in it, and neither worked . the quarters are finally welded on , and both of the torgue block's (sorry no pics of the before) are re-enforced and patched. the whole inside of the car has been sprayed with a urathane undercoating, looks nice and strong. lastly got the passanger door replaced and started the mild body work on it. next, start the rest of the body work
----------
Also, now for the ugly
dash is perfect!......except for the large hole that was cut for a stero or somthing -.-
AND!!!! the moron cut the vent, that explains why half the vents dont work.....

I know, im very overdue for an update, do my homework for me, and I might get stuff done. anyways, not alot of progress, I got lucky out a pnp, and got a rear end, with disc brakes, 10 bolt pozi, along with shocks, and the front and rear sway bars ( bolted the front bar to the rear end x.x) got charged a whole $54.95. body works been put on hold, working on getting GOOD subframe connecters for it, also changing out the rear end now. i'll try and get some pics, this weekend.

You, sir, are my motivation for fixing my car. I started body work on it last week and let me tell you, I have NOWHERE NEAR as much work ahead of me as you did. I have a small, 50-cent piece sized hole at the very bottom of the pass. side rear quarter. Also, I need to replace my rear impact bar as it's rotted. I've already replaced the pass. side door, cuz the original one had a 1/16" inch of bondo all over it. I may need to do the pass. side fender; we'll see. But everything else on my car is alright. I'm replacing the hood and gfx and spoiler, but that's my own calling cuz I want the 92-92 style gfx and Z28 hood/spoiler.
I'm gonna look at this thread each time I get depressed over my car.

I decided to restore this car for fun, nothing more, you wont get depressed aslong as it doesnt become manditory to work on your car ^_^ No updates really, I have been helping a friend of mine customize his computer case. The only thing I know about the gears, is that its not pozi xD. And to answer bully's question, im not concerned about the resale value, its just a project for me, and my dad, and whoever else I work on it with ^_^.

OUT WITH THE OLD!!!
and in with the new....well...sort of...
still have to clean it up, I am going to strip it down, and repaint it, and use the diff from my old rear, and swap it into this one (mines pozi, this ones not). debating weather or not to spray paint some of the parts red.

Well, I guess I could post an update? The projects been pretty much at a standstill, due to my poor grades, and lack of funds, The rearend has been torn apart, sandblasted, rebuilt, and painited, along with most of the parts that were attatched to it, new roaters, new pads. Still need to buy some shocks, the old ones were way overdue for a change, Also forgot to add, that..after noticing that all these little parts are broken: wore out bearings, bad shocks, and a broken sway bar mount....and I thought it handled really good?...just imagine what its gunna be like with none of this crap broken!

Ok, time for another update, and this is a sad one, the cars FINALLY gotten into my schools autoshop, but.....theres ALOT of things we have to redo/change:
-the welds on the A-pilers are crappy
-the welds on BOTH quarters have to be removed and redone
-the rear passenger side of the car has to be pulled inward
-new door pins all around
-The A pilers need to be re-enforced
-the sail panels need to be reinforced
-theres "suddenly" some nice deep scratches in the hood
thats not including all the work that sill needs to be done! >.<
-Fix the rust holes in the doors
-body filler on all the seams
-sanding all round
-dent repair on the quarter and fender
-new sealant for all the weather striping
-primer and paint
and I'm sure there will be other things that "need" to be done >.<
Tho I am getting a crapload of complements on the car..even in its current state, and I'm getting tired of the "Honda lovers" telling me that I don't know **** about thirdgens
example:
"thats not the right engine for that car"
"camaro's never came with disc brakes"
"psssssssshhhhh you need a 5 speed"
"thats a v6 not a v8"
"that red thing (deck lid) never came on the camaro" (wtf???)
"my honda like race car" ( )
thats about all I can think of at the time lol
Still no regrets in doing the build tho, I personally find it fun, and I really appreciate the car.
And remember for all those to tell us we don't know s*** about our cars, its not a beating stick, its a precision motivational instrument" to gtfo ^^
And oddly, I'm getting ALOT of requests from people that want to race me, I keep declining ^^;;
Hopefully my teacher and I can get this car done!, only got 2 months left before the shop shuts down.
WOOO....I'm going
----------

----------
ALSO!!! if anyone here has any pics of a black widow:
airbrushing
decal
art
or anything spider related
I'm looking for idea's ^^

Your determination inspires us all lol

And don't listen to the import fanatics The first thing that should show you that they don't know what they are talking about.... is that they can't tell between a v8 and a v6......
They are all used to seeing those I4's anyway :P
