hey i just wanted to know if any one has just leveled it off and installed a bat box there

do u mean battery tray?

if so BMR has a battery reloc tray for that that goes in the spare compartment

im saying relocate it there making it drop in a little and putting a bat box from summit

I have teh BMR box/tray installed, just haven't had teh time to run cable yet. Great product BTW!

I too have the BMR tray for the rear. BMR Fabrication Inc. It is a very nice piece, the only problem I have is that it is a little too wide at the little tabs the the screws go in from the top and you have to "massage" the one piece under the carpet a little. The picture from above is from a 4th gen but the rear is almost the same on our cars. Other than that it is an excellent way to move some weight to the rear of the car. For most racing though I think you have to have the battery in a vented box to be legal though I just have the battery there. Also if you are going to mount the battery without a box you should make sure you get the spacer with it. I didnt get one with, or threw away, my first Optima and I had to make a sleeve as a spacer for the hold down bolts.
