i guess it wouldnt hurt to try it but the botton is not gonna work on it anyway thats why i got the one i got now cuse it did not have a botton i guess i could pretend that it works

Yes it will fit an 84 Firebird just fine, 82-86 Camaro's have a unique **** and do not interchange with other cars like the bird's.
