Got a firebird climate control panel in the camaro
I took a climate control panel out of a firebird at the junk yard. I think they look better. And it just so happens to almost match my stereo at night. Now I'll have to change my dash lights to orange LEDs to match.

Yeah they look nicer then the plane jane 1 light bulbed camaro panels. These give off a more even level of light. I guess the red LED dash would work, Now I gotta decide what to do, orange or red? And how will the yellow lettering affect the color. Anybody done red or orange LEDs behind yellow lettering dash? I would want to match the firebird orange more then the Sony red.

Set up was super easy. The only thing that didn't plugin the same was the light bulb. I cut the original and spliced in the wires from the pontiac unit, 2 wires.
I had to transfer 1 piece off the camaro unit but the provision were on the pontiac unit, 1 screw, Other than that, direct swap. Took all of 15 min. to install. I think it looks more modern.

I think any firebird from 85 to 92 will have that style climate control panel.

looks good chris...i would have gone the same route except that the firebirds are grey and not black background that is the only thing that stoped me. I just went to the regular white font camaro hvac controls.
Yellow font is super duper hideous...
1 week left...1 more week!!! then i get to meet all you cool marylanders...lol
