paint and wheels

i am going ot paint my whells black and was wondering what would be best to use to paint them, base coat clear coat?

buy black rubber under coating & it works but be careful of what you spray.

a guy at autozone gave me the idea so i tried it.. its working so far..

I think he means his wheels, not wheel wells, but his "whells" typo kind of threw me off at first too.

I would use base/clear. But be careful with wheel cleaners after you paint them.
