it's neither glued nor riveted. The ground effects piece has 5 or 6 threaded studs that go through holes in the door, and hold on with speed nuts (tin nuts) from inside the door.

Look in your door, and at the edges you'll see a rounded-over acorn nut right along the edge of the door skin in the front, and another in the back. I believe these will be 12mm or 13mm nuts. Then after you take off the door panel, you'll find 3 or 4 more that you need to access with an extention through the specific inner door openings. These I believe are 11mm nuts. Take off all 5 or 6 and the piece will come right off the door.

Uh, no. If yours has rivets, then it's because somebody decided to butcher your car.

The only thing that should be holding that piece on to your door is the 5 nuts.

In this pic you can see at the extreme edges of the door are the two black nuts that I referred to before, and in the inner door area, you can see 3 round access holes to get to the remaining 3 nuts. That's all that holds the panel on.

Perhaps the 91-92 door pieces are held on in a drastically different manner? What year is your car?

on my ground effects, the studs went right into the fiberglass. There was no "bracket".
