4th gen steering wheel with radio controls
im very seriously interested in putting a 98+ firebird (or 2000+ camaro) steering wheel into my 91 trans am. i really want the radio controls. i know the wheel bolts right in, and that the radio controls wont work with the stock radio. i dont have the stock radio. what do i need to do for this to work? should i get the wiring to go with it, or is there wiring in there and all i need is to hook both ends up (to the wheel and to the radio via an aftermarket harness for the radio)?
i would like to know asap as my car isnt quite driveable yet after getting fixed, and i dont want much down time if i can avoid it.

Well if you get a sony radio. Just buy the sony sterring adapter and it plugs into the sony radio. Then just hook up the adaptor to the 4 th gen sterring wheel.
Get the specialty series from sony thier much nicer than regular sony stuff and have a 2 year warrenty rather than a 1 year.
Hope all goes well.

will that sony adaptor have long enough wires to go from the headunit to the steering wheel or will i need to extend some wires out?
and will the adaptor work with pioneer headunits? im not a huge fan of sony products (only thing ive had good luck with is my home stereo..)and have had great luck with my old pioneer cd player. but i doubt the two will interchange..
